A studio with room to explore

Black Iron is an independent game studio in Spain. We care about worlds with character and decisions that stay with you. That can mean an action game, a card game, a strategy game or something we have not imagined yet.

Our portfolio now introduces six projects: Crownfall, Moonhorde, Wyrmdeck, Mournvale, Lanternwatch and Signal Nine. They are at different stages, and each page explains where it stands.

Playable ideas and longer horizons

Crownfall brings together heroes, castles and tactical battles. Moonhorde puts a warden into a moor that never sees dawn. Wyrmdeck follows a deck-building climb beside a hatchling dragon, while Mournvale explores a kingdom trapped in dusk.

Lanternwatch and Signal Nine are earlier concepts. One asks what tower defence looks like when light is a resource; the other starts with a squad and an armoured train. These are directions we want to explore, rather than promises of imminent releases.

See the worlds, follow their progress

The new illustrations are concept art created with image generation to explore each world's mood. They are labelled separately from screenshots so you can tell what comes from a build and what is a visual study.
